Confusing start, wonderful tour!
Monique_M, Jul 2021
To begin with, the communication about pickup was poor, and the driver was a little angry. However, after a silent drive to Naples, we met our guide at the cathedral. The tour was wonderful and Elise, the guide, was fabulous. The tour of Naples showed us what a beautiful city it actually is, despite the bad reputation it sometimes receives. The Pompeii tour was interesting and informative. Elise speaks many languages beautifully, and certainly knows the history of his his region. Highly recommend!

Our guide Elise was fantastic in every respect. She was extremely knowledgeable, spoke clearly and at a speed that was easy to follow even for my husband who is a little hard of hearing. She was also funny and knew all kinds of interesting facts, not just limited to Naples and Pompeii, which truly added to the great experience. We spent 2 weeks and Italy taking several tours and this was our absolute favorite. We are retired and have travel extensively. I can easily say, Elise was one of the best tour guides we ever had.

Our guide Laura was so knoldegable about Milan and Pompeii that we were very grateful. The information wad so interesting and delivered with such humor that we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. The history lesson was fascinating and enjoyable..I only regret the size of the group was so large. More than 50.

Our tour guide, Elisa, was excellent - very knowledgeable and provided the information in an interesting way mixed with humour. The tours were well organised and we saw all the important landmarks.

We really enjoyed the tour and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Only bad experience we had was with people who had no respect for the artifacts.

Loved this! Such a great overview of Napoli and Pompeii. Our tour began with a driver - Paulo picking us up from our hotel in Castallamare. He was so kind, and even since we hadn't had the opportunity to pull our euros for our trip yet, he kindly paid our bill for coffee and pastries when the store wouldn't take our card. Then we met up with our actual tour guide, Maria, who was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about the history of Napoli Naples and took us through some important sites, including a church with the oldest basilica, Napoli Cappella di Santa Restituta and the Royal Palace. She was such a vivid story-teller when guiding us through the sites, it was like taking a walk back in time. The second part of the day was spent in Pompeii, and I can't even begin to describe how much I enjoyed the whole trip. The baths, the market, the fun facts about how the Romans solved their every day problems. It was a great tour. She really knew her stuff and was articulate and succinct about how she presented each section of our tour with story telling. My only criticism is the tour didn't allow time for food once it began and since it was right after we arrived in Italy we were pretty hungry. Other than that, this is a tour you should take!!

Our tour guide Elisa was very knowledgeable and friendly, but the Naples tour was a waste of time. We only saw inside a church and drove around the city pointing out what we could not see. The city of Naples is dirty and overcrowded. Then we went to Pompei, again that was interesting because of the history. In my opinion, once you see the first section then they all look alike. Very repetitive! I would never go back to either place.

The Naples part of this tour was interesting, however I felt that I learnt more interesting things about Pompeii in history at school and didn't learn anything new on this tour. However my partner who hadn't learnt about Pompeii at school did find the tour very interesting.

This tour starts with a tour of the main church in Naples. Then you have a quick drive around the city which gives you the basic layout of the central city. The tour of Pompeii was very knowledgeable. Toilet break given at start of tour was not long enough. 10 minutes does not give enough time to walk to where the toilets are and then send in queue for ones turn. I had 7 people ahead of me and the line was slow to move. As we only had 10 minutes to locate where the bathroom was, stand in line, use the facility and then walk back to meeting place, I had to go back without using the facility or would have been left behind The tour of Pompeii is worth doing but try to do it in cool weather. There is no shade and it can be very hot.

Naples part of the tour was a little disappointing. Long journey in traffic from Sorrento to Naples and then not much chance to explore when we were there. Pompeii as you would expect is amazing, but you had to concentrate a lot to stay close to your guide. Also a shame that a lot of the famous enough artefacts have been moved to the museum in Naples itself.

Excellent tour, would have liked more time in Naples and Pompeii but when you are on a tight schedule its hard to fit everything in, if we had more time I would have visited them separately, but we had a great time...

Naples. we got picked up from our hotel early just to wait in Naples. Our tour guide Elise was so sweet funny and totally real. she gave us good information as well as dining tips in Sorrento! which we ended up going to. shout out to Ristorante Donna Sofia. we then did Pompeii with another guide which was fascinating to finally see. the only thing I would say would be to add 15 minutes at the end of Pompeii to use the restroom, buy a snack etc. They sort of rushed us to the bus. Other than that, def should do this tour.

this tour seemed to be rushed. We didn't have time to enjoy ourselves. We left our house at about 7 am and didn't get back till mid afternoon with barely a bathroom break No lunch break at all.

Naples was a big disappointment, not many places to see and once we got to Pompei many more people joined us for our tour and it was very hard to follow our guide and get photos. We went on many tours in Italy and this one just did not meet our expectations.

Really enjoyed the Pompeii portion of this trip. Our guide was great and really gave you a feel for how they lived then - his energy level was great and clearly he was very knowledgeable. It was a lot of the fun. The Naples portion was just ok. Glad to go because we hadn't seen it before and there were a few things that were worth seeing. But if I was to go back...I would definitely go back to Pompeii - not so much to Naples.

This trip is certainly worthwhile if you have never been to Naples or Pompeii. The tour guide was a wealth of knowledge on Naples and Pompeii. I would strongly recommend this tour.
