Fabrizio was an amazing guide. He picked us up in Positano, drove us to Pompeii and gave an incredible tour of the ruins. Then we drove to the vineyard and had an outstanding tour, lunch and wine tasting. We topped off the day at Herculaneum with another incredible tour! Fabrizio is so knowledgeable and we had such fun learning and conversing with him. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

An amazing experience with the great tour guide that is Fabrizio. Fabrizio arrived to to our hotel ready and prepared, he offered water to us throughout our tour and had lots of useful information about our tour/day at Pompei. We had a 2 year old with us and he was always so considerate to our particular needs as well as making sure to assist us in the best way possible which is highly appreciated! He was always ready to answer ALL our questions even when some of these am sure didn’t always make sense:). A well rounded tour that I would recommend to anyone as Fabrizio is soo knowledgeable, experienced in his field & beyond but also soo welcoming during our time with him throughout the day. Thank you Fabrizio for an amazing tour and for sharing both your experience with us on the various history & for taking so well care of us from the beginning to the end! Would recommend everyone to do this tour and choose Fabrizio as a guide if you have the option. Also his English is too notch!!

We had SUCH a great time doing this tour with Fabrizio as our guide. He was very informative and knew so much about the history of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. He tailored the tour to fit all of us in the group—myself, my husband, and my mom (who know very little about history), in addition to my dad (who is somewhat of a history expert). We all got so much out of it. He did an excellent job managing time, making sure we got to see the highlights of everything. Fabrizio was also super friendly and easy to talk to. And he gave us many great local recommendations and taught us a lot about Italian culture. To top it all off, the van was very nice and comfortable. Definitely recommend that everyone visiting Southern Italy do this tour. We will definitely do more tours with Fabrizio when we return! 10/10!

Fabrizio was one of our favorite tour guides ever. He had a ton of knowledge about the sites and explained everything thoroughly. His anecdotes were so interesting! He also made sure we got to see everything worth seeing in a place that you could easily spend days in. He was also super nice and a pleasure to hang out with. Thank you Fabrizio!

The perfect tour

I am so glad we found this tour! We were 7 friends and all of us were super happy with our guide and the whole tour. We were picked up in a very comfortable van, the guide told us so many interesting things already on the way to Pompeii. He asked us what we would like to see and do most and kept our moods up at all times. The tour was very interesting and the guide knew probably everything there is to know about the whole area. We learned so much! Time flew by and we we'rent bored or tired for one second. Lunch and wine were also a very good addition to the day, definitely recommend the whole package.

Fabrizio was an excellent guide. He gauged our interest levels and applied his immense knowledge. As it was especially he kept checking our comfort level and made effort where possible to get us some shade. Lunch at the vineyard was beyond our expectations - simple, good quality ingredients that tasted delicious.

We got picked up from our hotel in Sorrento and had an amazing day at both Pompeii and Herculaneum. It was good to do both sites in one day to see the differences between them and the effects the eruption had on them. The wine tasting and lunch was a welcome break from the heat!! Fabrizio was fantastic and an excellent historian and made both sites come alive with his knowledge and descriptions. It was good to do a small private tour as we could go at our own pace and spend how long we wanted at each place. We would really recommend Fabrizio and this tour to everyone. An outstanding tour with a very knowledgeable guide

We went on this trip in early July 19 and it was simply fantastic. Fabrizio picked us up from our hotel and the day went from there. At 9am, no Queing, we went straight into Pompei and covered the areas that Fabrizio has learned over time are most enjoyable for a 12 and 9 year old. He made the visit fun with kid's activities including stickers and quizzes and they listened for the full 3 hours, which is testament to Fabrizio's technique. Following that, a delicious lunch on a farm on the side of Mount Vesuvias and a little bit of downtime. Then, an easy transfer to Herculaneum and learning more about the Roman empire from a slightly different perspective and arguably more interesting. We found learning about both Pompei and Heculaneum in the same day helped put everything into wider context from two different towns experiencing the same natural catastrophe. This day was made vary enjoyable and interesting by Fabrizio, who has a wealth of knowledge having worked as guide over many years. He knew all the tricks (don't sit in the long Queues for the men's bathhouse when the women's bathhouse 20 metres away is empty but has all the same construct etc). The local knowledge was invaluable. This is the way to do this trip and ensure maximum bang for your buck. Well done Fabrizio and thank you!
