What To Expect

Your shore excursion begins at the Southampton cruise terminal, where you’ll greet your guide and board an air-conditioned coach destined for Bath. During the journey, your guide explains the rich Roman history of Bath and the surrounding areas.

On arrival in Bath, you’ll embark on a walking tour with optional visits to the Roman Baths—one of the UK’s most popular tourist attractions—and the Jane Austen Centre, which pays homage to the innovative Regency period author. Admission is at your own expense.

Following some free time, you’ll proceed to Windsor, home of Queen Elizabeth II. Take a tour of her magnificent residence, Windsor Castle (additional cost), explore Windsor Great Park or take a stroll around the royal town, before returning to your vehicle for drop-off at your Heathrow or London hotel.

Windsor Castle is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and it can also be subject to last minute closures. As such, entry to the Castle is not automatically included on our day trip. On days when the Castle is open the guide will take you to the Castle entry. If you intend on visiting the Castle we strongly recommend booking your tickets in advance to guarantee entry.

Puntual pickup by our guide right at the port. Our tour guide, Geoffrey is very knowledgeable about the place and give us excellent advise to facilitate our visit. We were given enough time to visit at each spot. Our driver, Will was also helpful and considerate. We were drop down right at the hotel. Worry-free disembarkation day for us. Highly recommend this tour for cruise passengers!

Great Way to Wrap up a Cruise!

We needed a way to get from the cruise terminal to Heathrow area hotel and kill some time too, so this was best plan. The pick up was a little confusing as we got off early and the guide with the sign was not on site yet, so we spent several minutes walking the area in confusion. Other than that, the tour and drop off went smoothly despite the rain. Turned out to be the right decision.

The total confusion about who was responsible for dropping us off in London and when it would happen. They actually drove us out to Heathrow and stopped at numerous hotels there and finally drove us to London and transferred us to an vehicle there. Terrible planning. Ee want a refund for all the aggravation and enormous waste of our time.

Great guide (Tara, I think). Caring and friendly and helpful. The pickup was easy and on time. We did not get to go into Windsor Castle but could walk around it and enjoy the town outside. No substitute of course. Make sure you find out if it will be open for the day you choose. I had to call in advance to find out. The driver stopped with us in the van to fill up on gas...not cool. But our guide could not have been better. she recommended a great Fish n Chips place and did everything possible to make the tour fun.

1st the tour guide Tania was great! The problem with this tour was having to change vehicles. We boarded a bus after the cruise went to another cruise terminal and had to change to a different bus. Then at the last stop had to change to a van to get to our hotel. All this cost about an hour of time from our tour which we could have used in the City of Bath.

Enjoyed the experience of a personalized transfer from Southampton to Heathrow with stops at Bath and Windsor. The driver and guide were great. Pickup at the ship was on time and easy. Had time to walk around both stops and enjoyed both areas. Sure beats a non-stop van ride from point A to point B.

Cruise docked in Southampton needed a ride to London to continue our vacation .., and there was Viator. Mini van 6 passengers and a fantastic ride to Bath and Windsor. Our driver Paul and guide Valentina were incredible. His driving and extra sight seeing surprises and her narratives, friendliness and fantastic personality made the 10 hours speed by. Driver (Brian) was great. Tour Guide (Steve) was hopeless. Picked up on time for a 8.5 hours day, not 10 hours as advertised. 1. We needed some free time in both cities, and we needed a lunch break at the very least. 2. The tour must have an organised and knowledgeable tour guide. 3. Your advertisement would be better to advise customers to pre-book Windsor Castle tickets. Firstly, in Bath, I missed hearing we only had 45 mins for the Museum. I came out to find my husband waiting (I was 15 mins late) but Steve and the group had gone on a walking tour. Steve showed my husband a map and the approximate root of the tour, but we could not find him. As instructed, we were back at the van at 12md.....but no Steve. He turned up at 12.05 and told the driver (who was parked in a drop-off only zone) he and the rest of the group were having a snack at a cafe and would be 5 mins; we were not invited to join them. The group returned 12.15. Having last eaten at 6am we were famished.. Secondly, we arrived at Windsor castle without pre-booked tickets only to find a huge cue (do not know if this is normal). The American couple had tickets and went straight in. Steve said no point lining up so dragged us quickly through Queen Victoria's train station and over to the Thames river when it started raining, we found shelter, but Steve dragged us out into the pouring rain and around the corner to see where the fish market and some huts used to be. By now, 3.30pm, standing in the rain, we requested to eat. He left us and went back to find the Americans. We had 30 mins to eat and return to the bus at 4pm. The Americans had enjoyed free time after finishing the castle tour. When we returned to the bus we found the cue of people had all gone through the castle and that we could have lined up and seen the castle after all. Steve was only interested in finishing early. Left Windsor at 4pm and were dropped off 4.30pm. So much for the 10 hour tour !!!!!
