What To Expect

Under the cloak of darkness, greet your guide outside of the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse and receive a spine-tingling overview of St. Augustine’s rich history: as one of the oldest cities in America, St. Augustine hides numerous skeletons in its proverbial closet.

Your first stop are the old city gates, to listen to tragic and traumatic tales dating as far back as the 17th century. See, too, Tolomato Cemetery, an ancient funeral parlour, and Spanish Street, shrouded in mysteries surrounding St. Augustine’s first settlers.

In the courtyard at St. George Inn, you’ll stand on top of human remains and hear of how the local community endured terrible events in order to thrive in the present day.

Our host was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and his stories were excellent! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would like some history of St. Augustine that you wouldn't find anywhere else.

So we booked Saturday morning. Got a confirmation text and email. Showed up Sunday at 7:20 pm. We were told we weren't even in the system for any tour that evening. I gave her my phone and showed her the confirmation. She did offer for us to go on a later tour that night. We declined. I was told we'd get a call back, so far we have not. Today I got a text for me to share my experience from the tour, so here it is.

It was just ok. The guide was very personable and involved the audience. However, there weren’t a lot of what I would consider ghost stories - more of a history lesson. He showed us a couple of photos that supposedly were taken by other tour guests, but I was able to find them in the internet later.

Very informative. Our guide, Hippie is a great story teller and and knows his history and then some. Great stories and he has a true passion for his work. Through his story telling we felt like we were right there back in time and we were definitely keeping an ere out for the ghosts!
