I would definitely recommend the tour with plenty of sunscreen - we came back a bit burnt!

Great crew but not enough time
Chris_H, Aug 2023
The crew was great but this trip is too rushed. It takes a long time to get over to Virgin Gorda and you are rushed through the Baths. Again, not the crew’s fault, this is just the reality of how long it takes to see all this stuff. Then you will have a long boat ride over to Jost and barely have enough time to see anything or get lunch. By the time we swam to shore it was around 1:15 and we had to be back on the boat by 3:00. If you want to see the Baths and Jost, I would bite the bullet and book separate day trips to each of these.
Able to snag a trip last minute
Ryan_T, Jul 2023
Booked this trip incredibly last minute after our original trip with a different company got canceled. Really glad we were able to go last minute. The crew was really friendly and we had a great time. That being said, keep in mind you will be following the exact timeline that is listed on here so if you’re wanting to swim at the baths for hours this might not be the trip for you. Otherwise great value considering you’re spending the whole day out on a boat and visiting the beach bars as well. Much thanks to the knowledgeable crew
Great excursion

The baths were beautiful. Path was slightly challenging. Brandon was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our day. Our second stop for lunch was excellent
Great day

Long ride but we’ll worth it. Devil’s Cove is an added perk, but the baths are amazing . The short hike to get to the baths is treacherous in spots and walking over the boulders isn’t easy. It is somewhat dangerous.
Wonderful experience!

Stormy Pirates did an amazing job making us comfortable and providing a wonderful day under the sun in the Caribbean!
Enjoyable excursion

Dwayne and Sammy were awesome! Unfortunately our group arrived late at the pick up location but Dwayne and Sammy patiently waited for us. The trip was fun, relaxing and enjoyable. We had an amazing time!
The baths

I went for my 30th birthday on a solo trip & it was one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on! Absolutely breathtaking views you don’t want to miss & the price honestly should have been more for all that we got to experience, our guides were top notch 10/10 recommend
Great way to see both!
Lisa_H, Apr 2023
Amazing day! If your goal is to see two of the top spots in BVI, Baths/Jost, this trip accomplishes that. Our vacation time was limited, so it was a great way to see both attractions in a short time span. The crew was amazing and took care of us. It was great not having to waste time with customs/ticketing. The views from the boat were breathtaking and Jost is like a slice of Heaven on earth.
All the sites we visited...
Laura_Q, Apr 2023
All the sites we visited were beautiful! I especially liked Virgin Gorda. The crew were very nice and helpful.
Amazing Day!

Everything was beautiful. Captain Eric and Sally were absolutely amazing and they catered to everyone. Couldn’t ask for a better trip! Thank you so much!!
The Baths and Jost Van Dyke Excursion
Decorti_R, Jan 2023
The baths are beautiful. However, it feels rushed because of the amount of time it takes to get there from St. Thomas (2 hours). You will walk through the baths but only have 20-30 to swim. The same holds for the ride to Jost Van Dyke, you will have about 30-40 mins on the island, and as such, we did not feel we had a chance to explore and enjoy the full experience. By the time you eat lunch, you have about 10 minutes in the water. This excursion is more of a booze cruise with a quick view of sites.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Your times are a little off AND it sounds like you DID NOT read the description of the trip on our website. This 3 star review is not based on Stormy Pirates service, it is because this guest did not read the description of the trip and their expectation were based on simply looking at pictures, rather than the written description of what type of experience to expect. It takes about 1.5 hours to travel from the US Virgin Islands to Virgin Gorda. There is absolutely NOTHING we can do to bring Virgin Gorda closer to the US Virgin Islands. We give you a guided walking/hiking tour through The Baths National Park. This tour is 1.8 miles long and we take you to both Devil's Bay Beach and Spring Bay Beach. We also take you off the normal path to some of the more popular sights that most people don't get to view or photograph. After the hike through the batholith rock formations and caves you have about 30 minutes to swim at Spring Bay Beach or grab a drink at the beach bar. After Virgin Gorda, we travel another hour by boat to White Bay, Jost Van Dyke. We enjoy about 2 hours at White Bay, Jost Van Dyke. This is more than enough time for most people to enjoy lunch and a little beach time. Our guests, must keep in mind that these popular BVI attractions are quit a bit of distance from the USVI and quite a bit of distance from each other. We travel over 70 MILES, in a boat, to hit the two most popular BVI destinations from the US Virgin Islands. If you are looking to be able to spend a lot of time at each location you MUST do a private charter (which we also offer), so you can enjoy just 1 location for as long as you would like, or STAY in the British Virgin Islands and take a tour from there, so you don't need to travel over 70 miles on a boat. Many people join this tour with the expectation that these islands are close to the USVI; they are not! This is an "international experience" that our company offers for guests visiting the US Virgin Islands. We are one of the ONLY companies that offers this experience. Will you get to spend hours at each place? NO! - That is impossible because of the distance that we need to travel. Will you have a great experience, learn some history about the Virgin Islands and see the 2 most popular destinations in the BVI while your accommodations are in the USVI. YES!! If you don't read the description of the trip on our website and only look at the pictures and think we are going to Teletransport from the US Virgin Islands to Virgin Gorda & Jost Van Dyke, you will probably be disappointed. But, we promise you will have an amazing time if you join the trip with realistic expectation of what the trip actually is, and the distance we need to travel to get you there.
Baths
sailorz, Dec 2019
Service was great, Baths was beautiful but felt a little overrated. Also this requires 4 hours on the water with occasional bumpy water
misinformed
Mike D, Aug 2019
This would have been a wonderful trip, sales person was not educated enough and told us a passport was not needed. So i booked the trip and then got denied for no passport. They are trying to keep my $525. Dont recommend this tour until they train there sales people. It ruined our vacation.
Beautiful day!
stephanie_w, Jun 2019
We had an amazing trip with Kelly and Adam! The Baths are beautiful, White Bay was a lot of fun, the other guests quickly became friends, and Kelly and Adam entertained us with lots of history and trivia. Some things I didn't expect: custom fees (not included as the description says) were high ($75/pp) and we spent a lot more time in the boat than in the water or exploring the locations. None of that is a reflection on the tour! I would definitely recommend the tour with plenty of sunscreen - we came back a bit burnt! 🥵
Awesome day trip!
Kelsie L, Feb 2019
We had so much fun with Kelly, kristie and Sean on our day excursion to the BVI! They were great tour guides, telling us about all the islands we passed on the way to the baths. Keeping us entertained with stories and rum punch. They were knowledgeable about the baths and guided us through the stones, making sure to stop for photo ops! We ended our day at white bay and they gave us a rundown of all the lunch options. Wish we could have stayed longer!
