Would highly recommend this tour. Stefan tailored this walking tour to what we wanted to see and learn. He was friendly, and very knowledgeable. We learned history, culture and tips on where to dine like a local. Unique and informative experience which my family enjoyed.

Could be great….but it just wasn’t

First of all, I think the tour could be great and could be very enjoyable. Unfortunately our tour guide just wasn’t well suited for the role and it greatly impacted the experience. He was kind, knowledgeable and well intended. However, he was super quiet, not very engaging and often started walking without really letting us know where we were headed or speaking to us. We’ve done lots of tours in many places and the whole family enjoys them but this one was not that experience. We spent a lot of money to walk around with someone who just didn’t seem very engaged. He lit up a bit more when telling facts or history, but then would go back to being quiet and to himself.

Our guide, Atreyu, was very knowledgeable about the history and politics of Strasbourg, both past and present. He also provided great ideas for restaurants and things to do once our tour ended. His English was easy to understand and he allowed to us to tour at our pace. Finally, he provided us with insights on how to avoid the crowds and some alternative things to see in the region. I would highly recommend this tour with Atreyu who hails from Amsterdam.

Able to change plans without loss of cost?

We missed our tour due to a train strike. We received an email from Viator the night before our morning tour at 9 PM asking to let them know of any changes. We asked to change our morning tour to the afternoon. However, the tour company would not allow changes at the time of the email. We lost our money and felt we were misled about the changes based on Viator email.

Wow Christophe went above and beyond. We covered so much ground. Learned so much from our tour guide. It even rained half way through and we were able to continue the next day thanks to Christophe’s flexibility. It’s a large town and having some guide us around really helped. We were only there for 24 hours but left with so much!!

Mathieu is very professional. He covers both the old town area and the relatively new buildings close to the university. He also took us to the local supermarket to learn some local food and groceries. My kids also enjoy it.
