Also, we felt rushed to leave Chenonceau, I think an hour should be allowed to walk around on our own.

Exquisitely intriguing. Poor acoustics for the back of the van and a very crowded van.

Chambord and it’s history. The charm of the Chateaus and their natural surroundings resonated in our sojourn. The picturesque French countryside piqued our interest and buoyed our spirits.
The guide was talented and knew the history of the chateaux.
Communication of the bus with our location for pick up was at best good

We had a super day with Christian and another couple from Florida.
Christian did a fabulous job of explaining all the details of the chateaux and added some interesting fun facts about each.
He is well-versed in historical facts and made the day fabulous for us. Thanks again Christian for a superb day

An excellent way to spend a day in the Loire Valley region. Our guide, Christien, made the trip much better than if we had visited places on our own, particularly with his knowledge of the history of France. So nice to have someone take care of driving, parking, and arranging tickets!

Great experience our guide Christian was very knowledgeable and entertained us the whole experience. Only something outside the tour that was alway very carefully conducted is that you need more time in Chateau Chananceau it is too much to see it there 🥰 Great work Christian thank you for all the special attention and for make my teenager very interes the tour

Instead of leaving us to have lunch in Amboise (after the wine tasting) and then rushing Chambord they should have let us have lunch at Chambord. Then we could have walked around outside the chateau which we did not have time to do !
good historical information but no photo time

The trip was not as good as expected, the tour guide provided some history background of the tour, however had no photo time at the beginning and plan to leave the first site, chateau chenonceau after his historic stories, honestly, I only see the chateau the guide showed us.
I made my complaint and he organised photo time after.
I think the tour guide was too focus on the historical part of the chateaux which was good but I would be happy if I could have 15-30minutes to discover the chateau chenonceau by myself.

We feel surprised about your comment and your review.
Our guides always give free time (approximately 20 minutes in each Chateaux) for photo time after his guided tours.
It was the case when you joined this tour.
Our guide made his best and even gave you extra time.
This kind of tour includes a certified guide so she/he can give you historical explanations and anecdotes you would not have without a guide.
As a consequence, the tour is more focused on the historic part than on photo time.
But as you may understand, we cannot spend one hour for photo time.

Totally worth it. I was a little apprehensive of an all day tour, probably b/c we just had a half day tour of versailles, and it was a group of 30+, and the guide was trying but it way...meh. This tour restored my faith in tours. The driver / guide, Christian was amazing. The pace of the tour was a perfect balance of chalet, wine, lunch, chalet. We got back at 1830, but I could easily have stayed longer at any one of the tours. The group was only 8, which was a nice size group. Again, our guide/driver was patient, informative and entertaining. We had several other tours, this was easily the best of our 1 week stay.

A fantastic day out. Amazing castles, an interesting lesson about wine during the wine testing session. The last but not the least, the guide, Jean-Georges, offered a lot of interesting details and stories that made the visits very attractive!

Tour guide Christian is knowledgeable and give a lot information though his statements on Bible saying earth is flat rather than circular is not correct. It’s medieval church’s interpretation on Bible was wrong.
Overall the tour was good.
