Amazing wine tour

Myriam our host, was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about her vineyard. She was genuine and personable, taking an interest in her guests. She went into a lot of detail and was very eager to answer any questions the group had. It was a group of 12 people, which was the perfect size. The tour started at the shop and we made our way up to the vineyard where we learnt about the grapes, the topography, and so much more. Then we made our way into the cellar, and finally sampled 6 different and delicious wines that came with many food pairings. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend to any wine lover!

We visited the Alain Robert winery for a tour of the vineyard and a wine taste. Myriam, our guide, was absolutely excellent. We both learned lots about wine that we never thought we would know and found the tour very interesting indeed. The wine taste was provided with superb locally produced food pairings which made the experience unforgettable. Would thoroughly recommend!

Great experience!
Wannelle_L, Oct 2021
Myriam was a wonderful hostess and guide. We were fortunate enough to be there in the vineyard as the grapes were being harvested and got to taste the grapes and see how they are harvested first hand. She shared information on every aspect of their wine production. This visit to her family's winery was a highlight of our time in the Loire Valley.

Dear Wannelle, Thank you so much for visiting and for leaving this wonderful review. Indeed you were lucky to be here at harvest time, a moment of the year that I particurlaly like as visitors get to see the pickers working in the vineyard or the machine harvesting the grapes and to taste grapes, grape Juice and fermeting juice... as well as wine of course. A complete wine experience ! But as I often say, there is always something interesting to se and show in the vines, what ever the season. My best wishes to you and your husband.
From vine to wine...wonderful!

Prior to this wonderful tour, my knowledge of wine was sadly lacking. It came in bottles of red, white or rose’. That’s all I really knew! After spending three hours with Myriam in the vineyard, winery and cellar, I came away with a wealth of information that you just can’t get from books - it must come from someone who lives this life daily. It was truly fascinating and the small group setting was ideal. The tasting & food pairings at the end of the tour was excellent and delicious as well. By far, this was my best day in France!

If you are interested in wine, this is worth a special trip

This is so different and so much better than touring a large winery. Because it's a small group, and Myriam (the tour leader) has a wide range of knowledge, your questions and interests shape the tour. We talked about growing the grapes, the effects of climate change, French regulations for A.O.C. wine, business strategy, and so much more. That their wine is so good was just a bonus!

This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our time in France. Myriam was very knowledgeable. She walked us through the vineyards, teaching us along the way. Following that, we toured the wine making area and the cellar. We ended the time with wine tasting with food pairings. The wine and food were all wonderful! It was a very informative tour! It's hard to reach from Amboise using public transportation but Myiam helped us set up a taxi to and from the vineyard. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a most wonderful day out! We took the train from Paris to Tour and our host, Myriam, provided all the details on how to get to the village, even including a bus timetable! After a pretty bus ride along the Loire through the little villages, we were met by Myriam who drove us the short distance to the winery owned by her family. On the way we stopped and walked through a vineyard and Myriam explained the region, the soil, the vines etc and answered our hundred questions. After this we went to the winery where we shown the hand dug cellars and learnt more about Vouvray. To conclude we tasted six wines accompanied by a wonderful selection of local cheeses and meats. To top it all, it was snowing on the day we were there! It truly was a magical tour which was enhanced by the wonderful host. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in wine and seeing wine making up close!

Myriam picked us up at bus station in town, We were with another couple so it was nice and leisurely as well. We walked the vineyard tasting different grapes, then went to watch her husband and crew make the wine. Went into the wine caves. Nice wine and cheese party at the end
