What To Expect

Explore one of Canada’s most beautiful cities on this full-day tour of Victoria and Butchart Gardens. Your excursion begins with morning pickup from your select Vancouver or Richmond hotel, followed by a scenic ferry ride through the Gulf Islands. 

Dock on Vancouver Island with the whole day ahead of you. Hop aboard the awaiting coach, and get a lay of the land as you travel to Victoria. Then enjoy leisure time to grab some lunch (own expense) and visit landmarks like the Royal BC Museum, Parliament Buildings, Fairmont Empress Hotel, and Chinatown.

Saving the best for last, your Victoria tour concludes with a visit to Butchart Gardens. Stroll along flower-lined paths, discover the many themed gardens, and admire the remarkable landscaping.

After your garden tour, head to the ferry for the relaxing ride back to Vancouver. Your tour ends with return service to your departure point.

Tim was a great tour guide start to finish. He was very knowledgeable of the areas visited and was engaging to everyone in the group. I will say that the stops felt a bit rushed, perhaps an extra hour would suffice, but taking the ferry puts the whole day on a tight schedule. That being said, Tim kept the whole tour lively and entertained with many amusing dad jokes.

Our day trip to Victoria exploring Butchart Garden, downtown Victoria is such a wonderful experience. It is not possible to completely explore these places without a helpful tour guide who knows everything about the place. We were very lucky to have someone like Joe who was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Thank you Joe!

Our tour guide, Tim, was amazing. He provided extensive history and was very informative. We wish we had more time in Victoria but knew our time would be limited when we booked this tour. We had about 2 hours at the gardens and another 2 hours in the city. The ferry ride over was beautiful. Definitely recommend, especially if you get Tim as your guide!

Awesome but long day (13 hours!). Not much time really at Butchart Gardens (90 minutes), because of the time at downtown Victoria too, but doing both is quite nice. If you really want time at the gardens probably take the trip that focuses on that only. The ferry is interesting and ended up eating lunch and dinner on the ferry, the food is decent. Much of your time is spent in transit…driver Casey was awesome.

The tour to Butchart Gardens was fantastic, every minute there was worthwhile. The Victoria tour allowed us to relax a bit, we had plenty of time to shop, eat and sightsee. It was a long day but very worthwhile. Our driver-guide was great, nice guy on top of being informative and helpful.

We only had one full day in British Columbia and this was the way to spend it! It was a great experience and we had a wonderful time. The weather was off and on rain, but it didn't ruin the experience. It was a long, long day, but well worth the time and cost. Our tour guide did a great job and we enjoyed everything from the ferry rides to downtown Victoria to the Buchart Gardens. Don't think it would be fun for children, but was great for mature adults.

Initially I had some concerns upon reading the reviews prior to the tour. But after the tour, i was glad we decided to proceed with the tour. My parents loved it! It was a 13 hour tour. Thanks to Brent's colleague who helped to pick some of the passengers, we managed to arrive at the ferry terminal early and got slotted in for the 9am ferry instead of the 10am one. We had about 4 hours at Victoria City and 2 hours at the Butchart Gardens which I felt it was more than enough time for us. We even walked to Fisherman's Wharf to have Barb's fish and chips. Brent was a wonderful guide. He was talking non stop while driving. He even offered the passengers an option to visit the gardens earlier. That means he had to drive from city to the gardens twice. While waiting for the passengers at the pick up spot, he was also not lazing around. He was busy marking each map on the attractions to visit and the meeting spot etc. On the way back on the ferry, he was contacting his colleagues to check if they could help to send some of the passengers back to their accomodations so that they were able rest early. We were grateful that we were able to be dropped off directly at our airbnb instead of one of the official pick up places. Thank you Landsea tours, Brent and his 2 other colleagues on making this tour a memorable one!

Victoria and Butchart Gardens is an experience you won’t forget. No matter the group size, there is something for everyone. We did three excursions during our visit to Vancouver and Jim was the BEST tour guide hands down! He has jokes for days (that are really funny) and shares so much history both old and new. Great job Jim from your friends from California and Mexico!
