Tour guide Sophie was awesome! The location to check in was confusing. It’s in the same group of shops but down further from where expected, leaving us to wonder around looking if we were in the right place before stumbling onto it. A sign and some arrows would help. English signs too.
The grand palace

Seeing versailles, it’s really a great and impressive place. I did not like the size of the group, which was very difficult at times. Although not Viators fault, there are so many other people packed into the palace that it’s impossible to see anything. Just like the Sistine Chapel, I will remove these kind of experiences from my list.

Tour was just okay. Guide shares too much of his personal philosophy, e.g., religion is made up by humans to deal with life. He was also condescending at times, I’ll make this simple for all of you so that you can understand (mostly his personal philosophy, not historical facts).

Such a great experience. We did have to wait a little as the palace was very busy but we got to see everything and had lots of time in the palace. The gardens were free to see because it was March. In the summer you have to pay extra for that. Definitely recommend them as they’re so calm and peaceful.

Without a guide you miss out on the fascinating stories of the palace. It was just the right length and amount of information and the four guide was entertaining and easy to follow. The use of the headphones to hear him also allowed you to move around more.
