Overview

Enjoy a safe after-dark kayaking adventure to experience the bioluminescence of Mosquito Bay. Paddle in clear and semi-clear-bottomed kayaks so you'll feel totally surrounded by the glowing waters on the island of Vieques. Since this activity takes place on a separate island, visitors need to take a ferry or flight and stay overnight on the island (not included).

The meeting point is on Calle Flamboyan, four houses south of the Green Store, across from a yellow and green house, directly next to Rainbow Realty. To do this tour you have to stay overnight at Vieques Island. You have to take a ferry from Ceiba or a plane from San Juan or Ceiba.

A must do in viques

Lula was amazing guide. She is so knowledgeable about every thing bio bay, and all the other questions I had about the island in general too. Even though I booked during almost full moon, she still found a way to show the bio luminous to us. If you can plan, plan it so that you do not book 5 days before or after the full moon to see the bio luminous at its fullest. I highly recommend you go with this company and she is amazing

Thanks for the experience!! But I recommend this at 9:00pm or later, at 7pm is too Early because with the moon is so difficult to see like magical as the foto you show in the internet pages!! But I love it because is my Beautiful Island!!

The bioluminescent bay was absolutely breath taking and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. She went into the science and history of the bay which I loved. We had a great time and would absolutely do it again! The only reason I removed a star was because the tour guide told us we had the option to just enjoy the experience and not take pictures because she would send us some photos she had after the tour. It's been two days and no photos :(. Otherwise an excellent experience and highly recommend!

Great experience. I definitely recommend it. It was amazing seeing the bioluminescent bay. The kayak was see through. You could see light as paddled through in the darkness matching the stars above.

Our host Lulu was amazing. She explained everything thoroughly and was super nice and fun! I would recommend this 100%. The only improvement is to be a little more specific on the meeting point timing and contact # on Viator.

Our instructor John was very nice and attentive to our group. He made sure that all of us felt comfortable and safe in our kayaks. That night was very windy so it was difficult to paddle but he made sure that no one was left behind. He is very passionate about the bay and was eager to help us learn more. Would definitely recommend for others who want a special experience!
