On this tour, experience riding an Icelandic horse and admire the wild landscapes of south Iceland from horseback. When driving on the ring-road in direction to Hella, turn left on the road 26. Continue ahead till the big "Icelandic Horseworld"-sign and take the drive-in to the left pointing to Skeiðvellir. Park in front of the paddocks and the stable and enter through the door with the "Welcome"-sign outside.

Great experience

Both the staff and the experience it’s self was lovely. Our guide was polite, friendly and approachable. The horse was very well behaved and the whole experience was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Facettenreicher Ausritt mit traumhafter Kulisse

Wir hatten zu zweit einen zweistündigen Reitausflug gebucht. Unsere Wahl fiel auf diesem Anbieter, weil in der Beschreibung stand das es auch für Anfänger geeignet ist. Wir beide saßen bislang nur eine wenige Male auf einem Pferd. An dem Reitstall angekommen, welcher übrigens mittels Google Maps super einfach zu finden ist, wurden wir direkt freudig von dem äußerst lieben und süßen Hofhund begrüßt :) Unser Guide kam kurze Zeit danach auf uns zu, wir waren allerdings auch ein wenig zu früh. Nach einer kurzen Begrüßung stellte sich heraus, dass nur wir beide an dem heutigen Ausflug teilnehmen würden. Eine äußerst angenehme Überraschung, in den letzten Tagen wurden uns mehrfach kurzfristig andere Aktivitäten abgesagt - immer wurde das Wetter vorgeschoben, aber unserer Auffassung nach lag es wohl an der zu geringen Nachfrage… Hier könnt Ihr Euch also sicher sein das die Tour auch stattfindet und müsst nicht kurzfristig wieder umplanen. Unser Guide war super nett und tatsächlich auch Deutsche, natürlich ein Jackpot. Nach einer kurzen Einkleidung, bei der Ihr kostenlos Regenhose, Mantel und Helm ausleihen könnt, ging es zu den Pferden. Unsere beiden Pferden waren zwei absolut ruhige und liebenswerte Zeitgenossen, welche auf uns eine enorme Sicherheit ausstrahlten. Nach ein paar Runden in der Reithalle, auf der uns alle wichtigen Grundlagen gezeigt wurden, ging es raus auf die Felder. Hier zeigte sich der Facettenreichtum Island! Angefangen bei Sonnenschein, kam recht schnell etwas stärkerer Wind und Regen auf. Das alles brachte aber die Pferde nicht aus dem Konzept und unser Guide nahm es mit Humor, zum Glück hatten wir vorher auf Ihren Rat mit der Regenkleidung gehört. Nach einem kurzem Schauer kam dann wieder die Sonne raus und es zeigte sich eine wahrhaftig atemberaubende Kulisse. Ein weiteres Highlight des Ausritts war sicherlich der Tölt :) Wir können Euch den Stall und den Anbieter wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen und werden bei unserem nächsten Urlaub definitiv wiederkommen. Sicherlich eines, wenn nicht sogar der Beste Teil unseres Urlaubes, vielen Dank nochmal!
