Enthusiastic guide, fun stories
Shona_R, Mar 2023
Entertaining guide with a clear passion for the topics and control over the group. I found the non-governmental stories more entertaining than the Whitehorse / past presidents discussion but it was nice to be able to walk easily between the points.
March ghost tour

The guide was charming and friendly, and brought a personal feeling to the tour. And he had a dog, which we appreciated.

Doug is a great tour guide. He has a loud voice, which is a good quality for a tour guide. I only wish that there were more examples of hauntings or the tour went into greater detail about the ghosts. We had fun nonetheless.

It is supposed to be a 90-minute tour, but our tour guide finishes it in 1 hour. Not good. Also He is only talking, not gave us any chance to ask any questions.

The tour guide took us around Washington D.C. where he told us abouts events that occurred at each location causing hauntings. We were able to use a detector to see if spirits were nearby. If the lights flashed red, something was nearby. The tour was informative and fun. I would recommend this to anyone but it does involve a lot of walking.
Enlightening experience

I really loved my trip was awesome learning about all these things in Washington DC that I never knew about.
Great job
Rebekah_C, Feb 2023
Loved this tour! I would highly recommend it for some extra fun and unique history around DC. Doug was animated, knowledgeable, and he spoke loudly & clearly. He was also a speedy walker but always waited for us slow pokes; the perfect walking tour guide. My nephew (8yrs old) came with us so I opted for the EMF reader add on and he was fully engaged and loved every moment of the tour.
A bit disappointing
Rebekah_W, Jan 2023
The guide's delivery was good, but there were only a few stops on the tour. I paid for a 90 minute tour, and it was only 60 minutes. Also, some of the historical facts given were wrong- I'm a history buff, so I know my stuff.
Great tour guide, content needs improvement or more accurate description of your.

John was very entertaining and a wealth of knowledge, but the ghost tour part wasn’t really captured.
Spooky Tour!
John_M, Jan 2023
John Waldron was a great tour guide. He's a really awesome story teller. He brought history and the ghost stories to life. My husband, myself, and 16 year old son had a great time. Highly recommend!

Bringing the stories to life and adding a sense of mystery to the night. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaged, excellent tour.
Poor tour guide
Katherine_H, Nov 2022
Our tour guide was self-promoting for his acting and voice work, talking about his depression, had a dog with him who was said to be a service animal but no vest and didn’t really behave as such, and the guide didn’t give us confidence that he knew the material very well. It was not the experience I hoped to have and not up to the usual Viator standards.
ShannonM_H, Nov 2022
Guide was not a good enough story teller, needed more practice. Seemed too rehearsed. Stories were off as well.
Rebecca_S, Oct 2022
The tour felt disjointed, as there wasn’t much background or context around the stories or info about actual ghost sittings. Instead it felt like a jumble of facts.
Just ok
miki_t, Oct 2022
I feel bad because the guide was nice and trying hard but it just wasn’t that interesting. Kinda feel like we paid to take a 60mij walk with a group of strangers.
Educational not ghosty
zanlou, Sep 2022
Informative tour - guide was a little intense in her character at times but we loved it. Fair warning, there is some uphill walking involved. Was more of an educational graveyard tour than ghost tour.

Stockton, our guide, was great! Very engaging, informative and fun to listen to. Great way to see the historical sights at night and avoid the crowds while learning about some history.

John was a very enthusiastic host and a good storyteller. If you suspend belief a bit and look at is as entertainment it is a fun way to spend an evening in DC.
