Too much about Norman's and Young Irelanders and almost nothing about Vikings. Would have liked to hear about their traditions, family life, housing when they finally settled. Etc.

Wrong meeting place on ticket

Ticket and details say to meet at the mall. No one was there and no one responded to my message. Turns out they don't meet at the mall, but that differing piece of info was found in one spot prior to purchase. They need to fix this, we were screwed out of our walking tour.

The tour guide was amazing. I can't remember her name but she was one of the best tour guides I have ever had. She was extremely entertaining, Informative and brought the history to life. Besides all that, when I tried to tip her she would not take tips.

Poorly Run

Regretfully, this was not a good experience. The tour was grossly overbooked (90+). After the first stop, the group was split and we went with a new guide. That group was still too big. For those at the back to hear properly. With everyone advanced booked, the company should have known. Greed overcame them. And, yes, I would like my money back.

Interesting information about the old town

Great tour of the old section of Waterford with a lot of interesting information about the town and its history. Group was too large though for it to be able to hear very well. They eventually brought in a second tour guide to break up the tour.

The walking tour guide in Waterford (Epic Tour of the Viking Triangle) was excellent and very informative, he gave us a lot of information on the Vikings including showing us the replica of a Viking boat that was used to cross the English Channel. We would recommend this tour although short but very informative.

The amount of time was perfect for the tour. The guide covered all the main attractions, and this allowed me to feel I seen everything in the limited amount of time I had at Waterford.

This is a very short walking tour. It center around very well trained tour guides who have a vast amount of knowledge of the history of Waterford. I would Not call this a Viking tour as we did not speak much about the Viking after the initial start of the tour. But the information in the history of Waterford was great.

We lucked out and had one of the directors of the museum as our guide and he was so incredibly knowledgeable. We felt we learned so much about the city and its history! Tip: This tour includes admission to various attractions which I didn't realize so I ended up booking both this tour and buying the 5 attraction museum pass. You only need to pay for this tour and it will secure your admission into most of the museums.

The tour itself was OK but it was rushed. When we arrived at what we thought was the meeting point we found four other people who are also going on the tour who were also waiting for it to start but we saw no guide. After about 10 minutes we went upstairs into the building and we’re told that we had to report there for the guide to come. One would’ve thought that the guide would have come out and look for us when no one showed up. We then eventually got the tour but the guide was rushed as she had another tour starting .
