What To Expect

Choose a hike to best accommodate your experience and skill level, with options ranging from beginner to moderate to strenuous. You will meet your professional hiking guide in Yosemite National Park, and your specific trailhead will be confirmed post-booking.

Bring plenty of water regardless of the trail that you choose, so that you can keep hydrated along the way. A detailed list of hike options can be found in the Itinerary section below.

Please provide your hotel and contact information (phone number, email and accommodations) in the Special Requirements box at checkout. Hotel information is so we can email you driving directions to the meeting location; pickup/drop-off is not included.
Please dress in athletic wear and bring plenty of water
Minimum age is 10 years for the Intermediate and Challenging hike
Minimum age is 12 years for the Strenuous hike
The Beginner and Moderate hike is for all ages

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Waste of money

Gus was a great guide with a lot of knowlegde - but paying 500$ for a 3h hike on a path which is laid out is not appropriate

Every tour we offer is on a proper hiking trail in Yosemite National Park. It is unfortunate that this guest feels their tour was a "waste of money". Our guide waited beyond our normal wait time for the guest to arrive because they were late. The guide adjusted the route and was still able to provide exceptional service for the tour. The guide also stated that the tour lasted more than 3 hours and this guest was appreciative of his service.

6 miles walking tour around Yosemite

John was a great guide. He took us for a 6 miles walking tour at a comfortable pace, telling us about the area as we went and allowing time to rest and take pictures. We wanted to see giant sequoias but the Mariposa grove was closed so John directed us to a different sequoia grove. Overall very good experience, would recommend.

We met with our tour guide Ashley at 8:00 and started our guided hike. Because we brought our dog, due to park rule and safety, we were only allowed to stay on the road instead of the more of the path trail. Despite that Ashley was able to accommodate or situation and showed us the main attractions of the park. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time. Highly recommend this excursion for mild to moderate level of hiking skill. Enjoy.

Thank you for your feedback. Although we were able to accommodate this dog on the tour, we received no prior information about it. Also, we cannot recommend bringing a dog on any tour. They are not allowed on the majority of the trails we select for our guests, and this tour was limited due to its inclusion.

Walk through Yosemite Valley

Ashley our guide was very nice and sweet. Our walk through Yosemite Valley was tough due to the smoke from wildfires and the excessive bugs circulating around us. At least the tourist numbers were so low it seemed like we had the valley to ourselves.

We loved this hike and our tour guide John did an amazing job!!! Unfortunately one of the roads was closed due to weather and we could not hike the Half Dome....BUT... they offered us other beautiful options. We did the VERNAL FALL hike and it was very nice! Highly recommend doing this tour if it's your first time visiting. Bring plenty of snacks =)

I am finally getting around to writing this review, even though it has now been about 3 months since my trip. I just had to write one though to tell others how amazing our experience was! My sister and I visited Yosemite in June, and this tour was an amazing way to start our trip! Our tour guide was Margaret, and we cannot say enough about how great she was. She was a joy to talk to, and she was so knowledgeable. We started at Glacier Point, hiked up to Sentinel Dome, over to the Taft Fissures, and back. The views from all of those spots were breathtaking, and it was a beautiful way to see the best of Yosemite. The views of Half Dome, El Capitan, Nevada Falls, Yosemite Falls, etc. were absolutely amazing and of course made for great pictures. We learned fun facts about the wildlife, foliage, climate, and more! As an added bonus, Margaret gave us suggestions for our next day, which we followed religiously. Her advice ended up being perfect, and we found ourselves saying multiple times the following day Wow, Margaret is the best! We knew that we wanted to hike both falls, but since we had limited time, she advised us to hike the Yosemite Falls first thing in the morning, and she told us where we should hike to to get the perfect view OMG Rock, as she called it. We then followed her advice and hiked Nevada Falls in the afternoon, which we luckily did because we got soaked, and probably wouldn't have wanted to do much after that anyway. Needless to say, we had an amazing trip, and we definitely owe a lot of that to Margaret and this amazing tour. Can't wait until we can visit again one day!
