On your guide’s recommendation, conquer your fear and climb aboard the CabriO, an open-top aerial cable car that affords stunning views of the surrounding Alpine panorama. Scour the horizon for 10 lakes and more than 62 miles (100 km) of Swiss Alps mountain range before taking a short hike to Marmot Park, an idyllic nature reserve in which animals thrive in their natural environment. Opt to enjoy a unique dining experience in the mountaintop’s rotating restaurant (own expense) and then return to Stans to meet your guide.
Take the train back to Lucerne and, after enjoying some additional free time in the charming city, board your return coach to Zurich.

An excellent excursion by bus, funicular train, and cable car. Majestic views from the top of Stanserhorn hill. The weather was very nice in June.
The tour guide was very informative and helpful. Absolutely recommended tour who want to experience the best of Switzerland.

Nice time spent on Alps as family

This was a very nice trip. We liked it a lot as we had some personal free time in Alps.. we enjoyed hiking and weather was perfect.

The ride of cable car to the mountain top is
interesting. The stopover visit to Lucerne is very nice as there are many eye-catching sceneries there.

Easy trip with a great tour guide! Had everything organized for us and was the perfect amount of time to do everything we wanted to. Did the stanserhorn trip and the guide checked us in, told us what to do, and made it so incredibly easy. Super enjoyable!
Disappointing day trip

Viator merely provided transportation to the sites. I was dropped off at Mt Stanserhorn and was given a train ticket back to Lucerne, where I was picked up at a designated meeting point late in the afternoon.
I could have done this day trip on my own. On other day trips I’ve signed up for in the past, there was an actual tour and a tour guide to the areas visited. Not on this one.

We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. As stated in the description, the tour is accompanied by a professional multilingual guide from Zurich to Stans and from Lucerne back to Zurich in the evening. In between, our guests individually explore Mout Stanserhorn with the help of a comprehensive information booklet including train schedules, recommendations of sights and activities as well as orientation maps.
While Mount Stanserhorn can certainly also be visited individually by public transport, it involves many train changes and is ultimately more expensive. The historical information provided and the personal anecdotes shared by the tour guide combined with the liberty to explore a destination at one's own pace are the main reason why guests opt for our tour rather than an individual visit.
We regret to hear that you felt that the tour was not worth your money and hope that you will give us a second chance to convince you of our high quality standards on a fully-guided tour during your next trip to Zurich.

Not A Good Day

Suppose to have a tour of Lucerne, took us to Willy’s Watch and Souvenir Shop, gave us a map, go on your own for 55 minutes and don’t forget to buy your souvenirs. We knew we were on our own for the mountain tour. The weather was bad but no directions to train station once you came off the mountain. Get off the train in Lucerne poor map to find where the bus was picking us up, locals helped us. It’s pouring down rain and they had a problem where 35 minutes late picking us up in pouring rain, no shelter. I called their office and was told their was a technical difficulty.. We like to explore on our own but we expected a guided tour in Lucern not be taken to the family souvenir shop.and handed a map to tour on our own for 55 minutes. Do not tour within company. The city and countryside are beautiful and that’s why it got 2 stars.

In hindsight, this trip could be easily be put together yourself if you are comfortable booking train travel. We were brought to a train station and then told what to do on our own anyway. Lucerne is a big disappointment after being in Zurich. Very touristy and the tour sends you into a watchmaker as their first stop.

The actual excursion was fantastic. However, two excursions were combined and the guide went with the other excursion. Our group was left on their own. Guide did try her best to give us instructions; however, in reality would have been nice to have a guide and since, I believe, it was listed as a guided tour.
