Great tour to see Switzerland

We had a wonderful time on the bus ride to Interlaken. The weather was not the greatest, rain and Snow all day, but Interlaken and Grindelwald are beautiful even in the snow. We really like the tour.

I actually found this tour a bit odd, since it's a large group of two different tours combined in one. One large group continues with the tour guide to the Top of Europe Jungfrau while the smaller group (this one) is left at Grindelwald with a train ticket to ride solo to Interlaken to meet the bus later on. Of course you can't go wrong with these places, it's simply wonderful and for sure you won't regret visiting Grindelwald and Interlaken, however I felt a bit unattended and thought that a tour guide would be assisting us along the whole tour, which not happened at all. Anyways the tour guide Monica was great and very quinde, I just think this tour should be more well organized as in fact SWISS VILLAGES and not just a "ride" to Grindelwald and Interlaken. It would be a lot cheaper just to take the train from Zurich and do everything by your own.

Beautiful scenery, but save yourself some money and just take the train

These places were absolutely breathtaking, you will not regret seeing it. But this tour bus just drops you off at one town and gives you a train ticket to take to the other town to meet the bus in 6 hours to take you back. The tour guide does not stay with you at all, they take other people on an upgraded tour to the top of the mountain. So they dropped us off in the freezing cold rain and instructed us to meet them at the next town over in 6 hours. We were ready to go back to Zurich in about 4 hours but had to wait until the scheduled time to return. Then the bus was over 15 minutes late getting to the pickup location. We had to wait in the dark and freezing cold wondering if we were at the right place and if they were going to show up at all. Save yourself some money and aggravation and just purchase a Saturday or Sunday Super Day Pass online with the SBB which is less expensive and can get you to these villages and anywhere else you want to go unlimited for the day.

The alps and the ride up the mountain with a lift. Sofia, our tour guide is the best! She provided quality customer service. All questions were answered and more including recommendations for fine restaurants in the area. She is very professional and one of the best tour guides I ever had. The best ever. It was initially a Grindelwald and Interlaken activity but Sofia was honest enough to say that some shops, ride might be closed because it was a Monday. Glad i had it upgraded to Jungfraujoch Top of Europe tour and it is simply the best and the highlight of my trip. Beyond words actually the experience on the highest point in Europe. Sofia is simply one of the best hosts I have ever experienced in all of the tours I did in the past.
Refuse entry to bus because viator lost my reservation

So after traveling across Zurich at 6 am, we get to the bus depot and the lady, I believe her name was sonia, says she can’t find out tickets even though we had printed and on my phone, and refused to let us on the bus so we never we allowed to take the tour. We we’re also booked for the day before and they canceled on me and said I needed to rebook. So I stayed in Zurich an additional day and had to spend an additional 250 francs for a hotel because of “your” cancellation, then I’m told at the station i have no reservation. Completely unprofessional. I’m requesting a full refund of my money and in good grace I should be reimbursed for the extra day in the hotel. This was my birthday vacation with my daughter and it was completely ruined. Thanks so much! Please try to make up for your screw up and refund my money without contest. It would be the correct thing to do at this point. Nicola Cervera

Go for the Jungfraujoch upgrade

The day I went, in early November, most attractions in Grindelwald were closed, and Interlaken, while nice, was mostly stuff aimed at tourists. So, I took the optional upgrade option and went to Jungfraujoch. It was absolutely incredible. Very cold, high altitude, but amazing sights and experiences (ever been inside a glacier?), ones I will remember for life. Never thought having swiss fondue at 11,300 ft would be something I could do, and I did it! Our tour guide was Jorge, who was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Bizarrely, the mountain gift shops have some of the best deals in Switzerland. 100% recommended.
A day tip trip that could be better

The trip was OK. it took us from Zurich to Interlaken & Grindelwald. But our guide while riding the bus was not that active as you might like. and to our surprise in Grindelwald they gave us train tickets to ride back to Interlaken. why the bus did nor wait? or could not wait? who knows

Truly an amazing experience! We have upgraded to Jungfraujoch and Bernese Oberland Day Trip and I am so glad we did! We had the best tour guide- Las who is very knowledgeable and his beautiful and pleasant voice also made me pay attention more to the details of each spots and places we went to. Dan was also very helpful and accommodating. To say that Switzerland is magical would be an understatement. Thank you Best of Switzerland Tours and thank you Viator for showing us around! I have been to many places but this is by far the best. I would love to do the day tour all over again in the future! Ah, I left my heart in Switzerland!❤️

Picturesque and relaxing day enjoying breathtaking mountain scenery. The way the day is laid out -- being bused to Interlaken, given free time, bused to Grindenwald, again free time, clear instructions on taking the train back to Interlaken, and flexibility on how we used our free time -- works really well. Tour guide provided Swiss background and history and commentary on landmarks as we traveled by bus.

Grindelwald was so amazing , such a good experience for us . I only gave 4 stars and not 5 because I don't get it why they have to combined to different tour in 1 bus , we waited 30 minutes waiting for 3 people from another group . We have to walk at least 17 minutes from train station to bus stop location .

The tour takes about 12 hours, but the time isn't used very well. Spending several hours in Grindlewald is overkill unless you want to take one of the long gondola trips. A shorter day like 9 hours would work better, I think.
