What To Expect

Meet your guide in central Zurich, and hop aboard your coach for a highlights tour of the city.

Pass the castle-like National Museum, the shopping avenue of Bahnhofstrasse, and Zürich's famous financial district, learning about the history of the area from your guide as you go. Enjoy views of Lake Zürich before traveling past the renowned Opera House to the Zürichberg district.

Visit noble quarters with magnificent villas from past times. Take in panoramic views of the city and the Alps before heading to the university quarter.

There, see the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) and Zürich's Museum of Art, arriving in the charming Old Town. Learn about Zürich's history as you walk through the medieval streets and admire the town hall, St. Peter's Church with Europe's largest clock face, the Grossmünster cathedral, and the Fraumünster church, which showcases stained glass windows designed by Marc Chagall.

Continue to the banks of Lake Zurich and climb aboard a boat for a sightseeing cruise. After taking in the surrounding scenery from the water, enjoy a leisurely walk along the shores to the Lindt Chocolate shop in Kilchberg to sample some of the specialties of the world-famous chocolate factory. Your tour concludes with a coach ride and drop-off back at your original departure point.

Well worth the time and money

This tour is fantastic if you would like a little taste of multiple things. If you are looking for an extremely in-depth tour of Zurich, including sights and history, this may not be the tour for you because it is not designed that way. It was a great way to get my bearings around the core of the city so that I could explore on my own afterwards. We got a little taste of some of the sights, such as the 4 Protestant churches, and a gorgeous boat ride along the lake. The final stop at the Lindt museum, just by itself, made the tour worth it for me and I am far from a chocolate fanatic. For those looking for a more comprehensive experience of the city, I would suggest perhaps beginning with this tour to get a sense of what is around, and then try to hone in on what really interests you. For me as a traveller from Canada visiting Switzerland for a few days for work, this was perfect! I had never been to Switzerland before, and I'm generally not great at planning out activities for myself, so this was incredible because I got a taste of a number of things, and the next time I return I can focus in on the things I enjoyed most.

Fun and informative, with lots of chocolate samples. The walking tour could have been longer because I felt like there was much more to see in old time. We could have skipped the first part driving around and getting lost. *the guide Lars was great!

Our Tour Guide, Mr. Peter is a very knowledgeable person, basically born in Swiss and knows everything about Swiss. At the end of the tour, he even helped many participants find their way back to airport, hotel etc, by showing the right public transport/combination to be used. My hotel was walking distance from the start/end point, but most had to find their way back somewhere, and Swiss cabs are outrageously expensive.. About the tour, its very scenic and if you need to see the city in one day, this is a great option. Lindt was awesome, had way too many free Chocolates! Good work Mr. Peter.

I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Viator was great with helping me book my ticket and our guide Francesca was amazing she went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. She was also very knowledgeable and had lots of great tips on what to do in Zurich. I would highly recommend this tour.

Good way to see Zurich in a short period of time

The bus ride and river cruise provided us the opportunity to see Zurich. We enjoyed the Lindt Chocolate factory; in addition to sampling all the chocolate we wanted, hearing and reading about the history of chocolate was very educational. Downside: there were 43 tourists; too much for one guide. We were supposed to meet the guide in the lobby at a certain time for the return to the bus station. We never found the guide, so we had to catch the train back to the center of the city. It turned out to be a good experience that otherwise we would not have done.

The tour guide was in a rush which caused us to rush and don’t have time to take good pictures. Moreover, the tour guide was very loud and only attended people by favouritism.

This was a fun tour, but it can definitely be done solo. You don’t need an organized trip for Lindt. Catch the boat and go it alone, but if you want 0 to worry about, this is the trip for you!

I didn't know what to really rate this. My AirBNB is in Old Town and I was here for 2.5 days before this trip so I saw the churches, lake Zurich and some of the other parts of the tour on my own beforehand while I was exploring. The boat cruise is cool. 25 minutes. Lindt is great! But once you get your entry into it, you're pretty much on your own and can stay as long as you like or as short as you like. You have to take a public bus back (you get a pass for it though) . I just called an Uber bc it was faster even though I had to pay. If you're going to explore on your own and do the Lindt tour yourself, do it that way. If you need help getting around and don't want to plan, do it with this trip. Oh. The tour went 10-2 so no lunch provided and was starving

If guests have already explored the city, then this tour might not be the ideal one. The visit to the chocolate museum cannot be guided by our tour guides due to the high amount of visitors they welcome every day. However, there are audio guides available in multiple languages. After the visit, our guests can decide if they would like to return with the tour guide to the meeting point or stay longer. With the 24-hour ticket that they get from us, they have the possibility to continue exploring the city center by public transport like a local. We consider this contributes to the overall value of the tour and also we haven’t received any negative feedback about it. We apologize if you didn’t have the chance to get some food during the tour. While the tour starts at 10 am, and guests can have breakfast before departure, there are few possibilities to grab food during the tour. For instance, on the boat, or during the stay in the museum where guests have time to not only buy sweet souvenirs in the shop but to have lunch in the cafeteria. We hope this experience hasn’t hindered you from enjoying our beautiful city and look forward to welcoming you back on a tour during your next visit to Zurich! We enjoyed the driving tour of the city. We really enjoyed the walking tour. The guide walked considerably faster than most could keep up with. The cruise was okay. The chocolate museum was great. We got lessons in using public transportation on the way back fro the museum.

Had a great driver and tour guide, it was clear there was walking, but some people on tour didn’t read well and were caught off guard by the walking, we loved it to get in and see things.

Nice introduction tour of Zurich and the cruise on the lake is enjoyable. Save space for loads of chocolate tasting. Our tour guide gave us a nice tip about the "seconds" section in the store at the end. These are the same high quality chocolate with slight imperfections on packaging.
